Meet Cheryl
Welcome to my Admissions blog!
My name is Cheryl (that’s me on the left!)and I am an Associate Director of Admissions/ Director of International Admissions at Elon University.
My blog is designed to provide prospective students with information about Elon – from the Admissions process to important deadlines to interesting events that are occuring on campus. This is Elon University through my eyes as both an alum and a staff member.
To give you a bit about my background, here are some basic facts about me & my interests:
- I am originally from Massachusetts and graduated from Elon in 2005.

- I have a fraternal twin sister – and yes, we both went to Elon!
- I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and a minor in Sociology.
- I love to travel (which helps for my job!)
- Other favorites of mine: the Boston Red Sox ; movies (any science fiction, action/ adventure, etc.); crossword puzzles; and tv shows like Glee and Bones.
Feel free to contact me with any questions you might have: cborden2@elon.edu is my email address. You can also follow me on Twitter as well (CherylAtElonU) or talk with me on Skype (CherylAtElonU).

Dear Ms. Borden,
I have tried to send this note to you several times and finally had a chance to look through the Elon website to see that your email address has changed since I was last in contact.
Sorry I have not been in touch recently. The last quarter of junior year has been busy and exciting. I have been very involved in CAC’s track and field team and travelled to Paris for a meet where we placed first overall. I have been working very hard in my classes this semester and kept my grades up despite travelling, prom, and Scouts.
I am currently on safari in Kenya and Tanzania with my family and friends. We are looking forward to seeing as many animals as possible this next week but also to relaxing at the hotels and reserves after such a busy year at school.
I would like to inform you that my family and I will be at Elon University on Friday July 24th. During my visit, I would like to meet with you again and would greatly appreciate it if you could arrange for me to meet with a student and, if possible, the cross country coach as I would like to ask him or her about the program.
I look forward to seeing you and the campus again soon. Hope you have an excellent summer.
Sincerely,
Lucas Miller
