Hey guys, before I start with the blog post, I want to again congratulate our new members of the Class of 2015. Early Decision application results came out on Wednesday and I am glad that you will be attending Elon. I remember how it felt to get into university, its a big relief.
Anyways its pretty much Winter here at Elon and every year Elon has one if its biggest traditions, Luminaries. Every year on one night during the Winter, in order to kick off the Holiday season on campus, Elon lights the walkways with candle lights and decorates buildings and trees in Christmas lights. It is truly an awesome event. There are performers who dress up and sing Christmas carols, a live instrumental quartet, hot chocolate and apple cider and a surprise visit from Mr. and Mrs Clause. Since the holiday season is more that just Christmas, there is also a lighting of a Menorah by students from the Hillel club at Elon to celebrate Hanukkah.
Here is a video of some performers at the Luminaries.

Well, fall semester is almost done. Less that one more week of classes before final exams and then we’re out of here until January. I can’t wait for the semester to be over but I’ve got a few papers and projects to do before those exam. Before then look out for a video blog post from both myself and Cheryl sometime next week. But until then, visit and like our new Facebook fan page. You can ask us questions there and give us your comments if need be.
