Welcome to another edition of the Top 5 Countdown! With the end of the semester quickly approaching, Anthony offers up some helpful (and unique) ways to survive exams at Elon University.
Enjoy this latest edition of the Top 5 Countdown and let us know if there is a topic you would like to see featured in the future!
As promised, Anthony and I would like to present the first Top 5 Countdown for the 2011-2012 academic year! This countdown reflects Anthony’s favorite things to do at Elon when it is raining out (which is exactly the weather we have today on campus!)
Thus, whether rain or shine, you know there is always something to do at Elon!
It is that time of year again! A time when many of you have returned back to school, especially in the last few weeks although there are some schools and countries that have been in school since earlier this year. Like many of you, the Admissions Office at Elon is also going “back to school” – although we just go back to visit schools! My colleagues and I are already traveling across the U.S. as well as around the world – look for us to possibly be visiting your high school or local university this summer! As I write this, I am literally in a van on the way to visit the International School of Bangkok in the country of Thailand.
It has been awhile since I have blogged (I too needed a vacation!), but that doesn’t mean that it has been quiet around campus. I will be writing a more extensive update soon, but here are some important things to know about with International Admissions at Elon:
Like last year, you will be hearing more this year about life at Elon through Anthony’s perspective. Feel free to email him questions (email@example.com), chat with him on Skype, and read about his personal Elon adventures!
New International Counselors
I am excited to share that there are two more counselors who will be working on International Admissions with me! Denard Jones (firstname.lastname@example.org) is the new admissions counselor for students who attend school in Europe and Ashley Pearson (email@example.com) is the new admissions counselor for students who attend school in Latin America. I will be the admissions counselor for everyone else! I am excited to be working with both Denard and Ashley, and I know you will enjoy getting to know them as well! Look for more information (and blog posts) from them in the future.
I know I am excited about this year and I hope you are too!

Elon’s school year is winding down with tomorrow being the last day of exams for our students. Graduation is set for this Saturday (May 21, 2011) and as Anthony mentioned, he has left Elon to start his summer!
Today, I just wanted to offer up a fun post which includes some funny “blooper” videos from this past year. This was the first year we tried doing video blogs and as a result, Anthony and I ended up with a few “mistakes” that were not originally posted.
Enjoy these videos and happy summer to everyone! I will be posting occasionally throughout the summer months (like Anthony) so check back soon for more content.
Well, it is our last video blog for the semester – Anthony and I hope you have enjoyed the Top 5 countdown this year! This month’s focus is on the different housing choices at Elon University as it is almost the time of year for our new students to be selecting their housing.
Enjoy and thank you for watching! (And look for a special video blooper blog to come soon!)
Just a quick hello from Boston where I am currently located! I’m back at Elon by the end of this week and look forward to hearing from everyone!
